The Labelmakers Group, headquartered in Almere, the Netherlands, has acquired Kolibri Labels, a custom label printer, also based in the Netherlands. With this acquisition, The Labelmakers Group broadens its range of self-adhesive labels while strengthening its position in Pan-European market. Kolibri Labels specializes in the production of high-quality labels for the cosmetic, chemical and beverage markets. “The company focuses on offering a high level of customer service and expertise in the markets it serves, which makes Kolibri a perfect fit The Labelmakers Group,” says Hoessein Hadaoui, managing director for The Labelmakers Group. The Labelmakers Group, which is comprised of Telrol, Peha Labels, BioLabel, HACCP Label, LMG Ribbons, Jac-Stick and now Kolibri Labels, prides itself on its strong market position, skilled and enthusiastic staff, a large customer base and reliable vendors. “The acquisition falls in line with our strategic plan for the future, as we look to acquire label companies that share our philosophy of providing high-quality labels and superior customer service. With the massive growth of Telrol, the acquisitions of Peha and and Kolibri Labels, the future for The Labelmakers is now,” Hadaoui adds. The Labelmakers Group is a market leading manufacturer of self-adhesive labels in the Netherlands, and serves mostly the food and retail markets. The company is also strong in the cosmetics, chemical and logistics markets. This year, The Labelmakers Group was awarded a certificate for its compostable labels (Bio Label) and became the first label printer in the world with this certificate. Leveraging years of experience and an extensive range of converting machinery, The Labelmakers Group has the flexibility to succeed in an often-turbulent market. The Group operates on national and international level. Following the acquisition, the Labelmakers Group now employs 230 people and features 54 printing and converting machines. “We have virtually unlimited technical possibilities and printing techniques for the label markets we serve,” Hadaoui says. The Labelmakers Group, has adopted the mantra, “Excellence Performance.” Within the Group’s companies, the 5S manufacturing method is fully integrated and IT systems help with measuring performance. The Group is certified with BRC and ISO 9001 as well.
